Guideline of the German Medical Association for the Quality Assurance of Laboratory Medical Examinations - a Success Model

In Germany, interlaboratory comparisons have been performed for about 60 years based on efforts to standardize blood count diagnostics. INSTAND e.V. and RfB have been entrusted with the organization and medical-technical support in the broad spectrum of laboratory medicine from the beginning.

Medlab 2023

From February 6th through the 9th, the Medlab Middle East took place at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre. With exciting lectures and more than 700 exhibitors, Medlab is one of the leading trade events in the medical laboratory sector. INSTAND was again on site as an exhibitor this year.

NEW: INSTAND EQA scheme 418 Virus Genome Detection - Monkeypox Virus

Due to many requests, INSTAND e.V. introduces a new External Quality Assessment (EQA) for the "Virus Genome Detection Monkeypox Virus" (418). This new EQA scheme will be established by INSTAND e.V. in its capacity as reference institution of the Bundesaerztekammer (German Medical Association) as EQA provider.

The following updates have been made in RV-Online:
- Effective immediately, the "Shipping address" tab of the "Addresses and Users" menu provides the option to explicitly name an email recipient, regardless of the users already stored for the lab.
- In January 2022, we implemented three new notifications in our RV-Online system.

Amendment of the transitional periods of the European In-Vitro-Diagnostics Regulation (IVDR)

On December 16, 2021, the European Parliament adopted a differentiated deferral of the application of individual components of the IVDR. This also partly affects in-vitro-diagnostics from in-house production.
